Why we named the house ARMAT.

Armat means root. It is the word our grandparents used for the thing that holds — the part of the tree no one sees, the part that decides whether the tree will stand through winter.\n\nWe named the house ARMAT because we are not building a clothing line. We are carving objects from the same stone our highlands are made of: dense cotton, mineral wash, quiet emblems. Every garment is an act of remembering, and an act of refusing to forget.
